WE BRING YOU  "The Zonkers" !! 

The Zonkers feature the horns and keyboards of Charles McGahey and  the parrothead, Zane Wooten on bass and vocals.  The guitars and vocals of the Graham brothers Josh and Ben and the skilled percussion of Shaun McMillanThe Zonkers absolutely will bring you a mix of the most dynamic, cross-generational music in the area.

Charles McGahey , horns and keyboards,  is a retired band director (32 years) from the State of Georgia.  He has been in the Johnson city area for three years, and currently teaches Intro to Music courses at Northeast State Community college.  He also teaches sax, clarinet, and flute private lessons.  He has played in broadway musicals such as "Annie", and "Smokey Joe's Cafe".  His favorite fun music to play, however, is good old rock 'n' roll, which he does in this current group. Yamaha PSR-1500 keyboard,  Kawai keyboard , Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Clarinet, Flute, acoustic-electric Guitar

Shaun McMillan , is a native of Kingsport, Tennessee and has 20 years of experience playing drums and percussion. Shaun was a percussion performance major at E.T.S.U. and from there went to pursue his music career in Knoxville, TN and Atlanta, GA. Shaun has shared the stage with some notable musicians including the lead singer from Sister Hazel as well as John Mayer. Shaun is a versatile drummer who enjoys playing all styles of music making him a prime Zonker through and through

Zane Wooten, bassist, guitars and vocalist,  hails from the Central Indiana and Illinois and has played for many touring bands of that area.  Zane is a musician of 4 decades and can actually claim playing in bands in the 60's,70's, 80's,90's and the present decade .  Besides a being an avid progressive rocker  Zane also is known as the "parrothead" and has performed  a one man tribute act to the music of Jimmy Buffett all over the Tri City area. Zane has also played locally in both "Foxfire"  and "Black Hat". Zane plays an "1981"  4001  Rickenbacher stereo guitar through Ampeg Svt amplification.
